Countryside Walk: Clytha
Venue: Castle, Snowdrops and Ancient Hill Fort
Join Monmouthshire Countryside Service for a 6 mile (9.5km) walk passing Clytha Castle, an Iron Age hill fort, a secluded church and a section of the Usk Valley Walk. Bring a packed lunch and a drink. Wear boots or stout shoes and bring a waterproof coat. Dogs on short leads permitted. One very steep slope and lots of stiles.
Leave the old road from Raglan to Abergavenny at the turning signposted “Bettws Newydd.” Park in the National Trust car park on your right after 400 metres (SO 361 085).
