Situated on the western outskirts of the market town of Talgarth, the barn, not so long ago was an overnight resting place for stallions traveling to stud on the Great Western Railway. The railway has now gone but the small market town of Talgarth nestles peacefully in the foot hills of the Black Mountains.

A geographical gateway, Talgarth is an ideal base to explore both the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons National Park ...
Opportunities exist for most outdoor activities: walking, climbing, cycling, mountain-biking, pot-holing, horse riding, gliding, hand-gliding, together with the full range of water sports including fishing, kayaking canoeing, sailing and windsurfing in the reservoirs and rivers of the area. The magical and tranquil lake of Llangorse (the largest natural lake in Wales) lies three miles to the west. The river Wye is only three miles to the east at Glassbury while the river Usk lies six miles to the west at Brecon.

You will find a variety of birds and wildlife, including otters, badgers, look out for our very own pair of nesting red kites. At your desination, you can marvel at the forty foot waterfall. Dip your toes in and cool off, shut your eyes and let the world and its troubles pass you by.
