Join the Monmouthshire Countryside Service for this walk of just over 6 miles (10 km) from the centre of Usk past the church, castle, and the sight of one of Owain Glyndwr's greatest defeats to a secret underground World War 2 resistance operations base on private land (the landowners have kindly given their special agreement for this one off visit). You will also go through woods, and beautiful countryside, returning along the banks of the River Usk.
Some moderate slopes and some stiles. Bring your own packed lunch and a drink. Assistance dogs only please. The walk takes place in the morning and lasts for approximately three and a half hours. Booking Essential as places are limited. Telephone Mark Langley on 01291 691237 or email Click to email for more information or to book a place.
