Brecon Arts Week reaches its third year, and a treasure chest of exhibitions, events, demonstrations and music all week.
Brecon Arts Week runs from 27th October to 4th November, at venues throughout the town centre. Most events are free, but some, such as the workshops, need to be booked in advance and there is a small fee for participants. Brochures will be available from galleries, shops, cafes and all venues.
THE FOOD
One must sample Welsh Black Beef, the rose coloured beef is indigenous to the area and of the highest quality. Quality can also be associated with its pork and lamb, which is widely available in local farm shops, delicatessens and butchers. There is a strong tradition of farmhouse dairy production throughout, and this is reflected in the range of speciality cheeses available. Local producers, a number of these specialising in organic farming, baking, supply fresh fruit and vegetables, resulting in produce of the finest quality.
