Hay walking festival

We are offering a varied programme of some 30 guided walks for all ages and abilities, from full days to a few hours, together with opportunities to acquire better navigational and map reading skills and to learn about the geology and archaeology of the area.

The walks take in some of the most spectacular scenery in the area and are all led by experienced walkers and walk leaders. Tickets for all walks and events are now available for sale online. It is necessary to book on all walks and events as demand is likely to be high and numbers are limited.

The Walking Festival is organised by the Hay Tourism Group (HTG), is a group of local businesses and residents that have come together to promote sustainable tourism initiatives in Hay on Wye.

The Festival's two nominated charities are: Water Aid and Longtown Mountain Rescue
