Foraged foods from the forest
Two very different days at two seperate venues, both close to the Market Town of Abergavenny.
The first day is at Llwyn Ffranc Farm just north of Abergavenny, and you will get the chance to forage for wild garlic in a 50acre woodland on the slopes of The Skirrid and then tuck into wild garlic and nettle soup. We round off the day with some talks.
On Sunday at Arcadia Wood, Franco and Ann Tarushio, formerly of The Walnut Tree, share their expertise on how to cook with foraged plants and Franco's food is one of the attractions. Arcadia Wood complryr with lake and boathouse, is an inspiring venue for anyone interested in weedlands.
The Wild Garlic Festival started in 2011.
