Fun and frivolity on the waterfront

A celebratory weekend of fire, spectacle and entertainment. Following on from last year's success, The Big Splash is once again set to take Newport by storm. Large scale spectacular stunts, free firework display, entertaining performances and hands on opportunities for all the family to enjoy.

Some of the outdoor and indoor events on both sides of the River Usk will include: " A Gigantic Puppet Show " Street Theatre Performances " Climbing Wall " Waterwalker Balls " Danters Fairground " Food and Craft Stalls Live Music on The Riverfront Outdoor Stage throughout the weekend includes; The Elasticated Waste Band, The Cherry Beats, Wonderbrass, Tattsyrup, The Mavron Quartet, Zwolf and plenty more. Fast, exciting US sport, Roller Derby in the Newport Centre. C-Beebies star Andy Day will star in the children's show Big Box of Bananas, on Sunday 9 October at 2pm (Tickets £10, Family £32)
