Mitchel Troy to Kingswood

Join the Monmouthshire Countryside Service for this walk commencing from the village of Mitchel Troy. We will be starting this 6.75 miles (11km) walk by travelling uphill through fields, lanes and bridleways to enjoy fantastic views across to Abergavenny and the Black Mountains. On reaching the Kingswood, we will follow the edge of the woods, enjoying more great views before climbing for a second time to enter the forest. We will continue along forest tracks to emerge into open countryside with superb views over the surrounding area.

Expect lots of mud! There are two steep slopes and a few stiles. Please bring your own packed lunch and a drink. Assistance dogs only. There is no charge for this activity. Meet at the car park next to the church in Mitchel Troy village (SO 492 104). Postcode NP25 4HT.
