In the footsteps of King Tewdrig

Join the Monmouthshire Countryside Service along this newly relaunched 11 mile (17.75 km) "Tewdrig Trail" on the Saint's Day. Find out more about this facinating man and follow the route from his retirement spot in Tintern through the site of his final battle against the Saxons and on to his burial place at Mathern.

Superb views along the way. One steep slope and approximately 20 stiles. We will travel by minibus from Mathern to Tintern and return on foot. Bring your own packed lunch and a drink. Assistance dogs only please. Please wear stout shoes and bring waterproof clothing.
