Nacot on the Border presents Paul Groves & Tamar Yoseloff

Venue: The Drill Hall

'Irony, Humour and Haunted Imagination'

Join us for a early summer's evening of humour and insight with two remarkable poets of rare skill and presence.

Paul Groves was born in Gloucester, lived in the Forest of Dean for 25 years and now lives near Monmouth. He's a serial poetry prizewinner including the Foyles/TLS prize which he has won twice. He has published five collections and is known for his formal skills, clear, sharp imagery and quirky, ironic sense of humour - what Craig Raine called his 'attractively sour outlook on life'.

Tamar Yoseloff was born in the USA. She holds an MPhil from Glamorgan and a PhD from Aberystwyth and has taught at Birbeck College and the Poetry School. Her first collection was a PBS Special Commendation and won the Jerwood Aldeburgh First Collection Prize. Her new collection, 'The City with Horns' is released this month and features poems about pioneer abstract expressionist, Jackson Pollack.
