At Oxfam Bookfest, readers join in to celebrate their love of books at events in Oxfam shops, libraries, community centres and other venues around the UK, featuring a host of authors and celebrities. Taking part in Oxfam Bookfest 2009 were Poet Laureate Carol Anne Duffy, Ian Rankin, Alexander McCall Smith, Mark Haddon, Kate Atkinson, Vikram Seth, Joanna Trollope, Anne Fine, Jonathan Coe, Marina Lewycka, Michael Faber and Nicholas Shakespeare, among many others. Names for this year's Bookfest will be announced in spring 2010.

This 161km (98 mile), linear eight day guided walk along the Beacons Way, crosses the entire width of Brecon Beacons National Park, from Holy Mountain in the east to Bethlehem in the west.
