We are absolutely thrilled to be putting on this, our second Women's Festival in Brecon. This year, as well as the programme of eclectic events you see here, we have focussed on forging closer community links which have resulted in Poetry workshops in schools with a commemorative tree donated by The Woodland Trust and planted by Menna Elfyn; a visit and discussion by Cardiff's 'Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association' and we will be fundraising on behalf of 'Crossroads' and 'South Powys Youth Music' at some of our events. Special thanks are due to the Brecon Soroptimists for their support with this year's Festival.

Crickhowell Walking Festival
Event Date: 01-Mar-2013 - 10-Mar-2013
Beaufort Street Crickhowell Powys NP8 1BN
phone: 01873 811970
The Crickhowell Walking Festival takes place around the beginning of March each year and lasts nine days. It consists of a number of guided walks of various grades, all led by local experienced guides. There is something for every level of walker, whether you are happy trekking all day across the tops of the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons or would rather keep to paths and the lower slopes. The programme also has a range of supporting events. These are in the form of talks, some of which will be followed by a walk to illustrate the talk the next day, courses in Map Reading and Navigation - theory and practical - as well as times to relax to music and even dance, if you still have enough energy left!
