Gloria Festival of Flowers
Venue: Brecon Cathedral
This promises to be a spectacular event with flowers filling the Cathedral to the brim. Organised by the Three Counties and South Wales Area of NAFAS; covering Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and all of South Wales, the Area boasts more than 70 clubs which bring together members with a love of flower arranging.
There will be a total of 106 Floral Arrangements at `Gloria' (some of which will reach 8 foot in height!) created by individuals and floral societies in the Area. NAFAS Area President, Bob Harris has said “it is always such a joy to see an already beautiful building come even more alive with flowers, fragrance, fellowship and fun.”
The Festival will be open Thursday 17th - Sunday 19th August from 9.30am-5.30pm. As well as the obvious floral attractions, the festival will contain a variety of trade stalls, floral demonstrations and children's workshops. For festival refreshments, a visit to our stunning High Tea Buffet Marquee will satisfy every appetite with all food provided by Brecon Cathedrals' award-winning Pilgrims Tearooms.
Entrance charges for Thursday-Saturday are as follows: £7.50 adult, £5 concessions, and children aged 12 or under are free accompanied by a paying adult. Sunday, the last day of the Festival will be free of charge to visitors. Full details about `Gloria' can be found at website link.
