Make your own elegant accessory or create a purse or bag as a very special gift.

Have a very special day making something for yourself or someone dear to you.

The first workshop will be used to colour large count canvas before any stitching begins. Participants may select their own colours and carry out their own designs. Once the background has been constructed this will provide a strong fabric on which to work. Then different coloured and thicknesses of threads will be used stitch into the canvas. In addition to threads, voiles and chiffons will be used to work over, creating a subtle and textured surface. This is using a traditional form of needlework but giving it a contemporary feel.

Each person can make up the finished piece in which ever way they wish. It does not necessarily need to be a bag or purse, it could equally well be used as a hanging or frame. Imagination is the limitless.
