The Rockfield Country Music Festival is a 4-day extravaganza of Wild West and country music entertainment which will see 24 country music acts playing in a huge marquee down in fields by the River Monnow, three miles outside of Monmouth. Other entertainment includes The Lawmen wild west show which re-enacts gunfights and bar brawls from the Wild West, plus line dancing lessons, a mechanical rodeo bull machine, horseshoe throwing, and a fast draw contest. As many as twenty trade stands will be selling authentic American cowboy hats, boots, belts, crinoline dresses and other western wear, which is usually worn by a majority of the attendees at the event, making for an amazing 'American frontier' atmosphere.
