This year, the Wales Book of the Year Short List Event is coming to Brecon

On Thursday 10 May Literature Wales will be joined by some of Wales' best loved poets as they announce which writers have made it on to the Wales Book of the Year 2012 Short List. In the tranquil surroundings of Theatr Brycheiniog in Brecon, the audience will be treated to readings by current and former Bardd Plant Cymru Eurig Salisbury and Ceri Wyn Jones, National Poet of Wales Gillian Clarke and Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy. A nine hole mountain course, this is the highest golf club in Wales and has many natural features and hazards.

Players are passionate about the game, holidays can be made and ruined by it. Though some say “its a good walk spoilt”. We won’t comment on whether we think North Wales golfers are spoilt but whatever your level there is something for you. Try some of the courses and clubs and see what you think. Most do club hire and all do tuition.
