Open days are suitable for the entire family. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the facility with Friends of the Newport Ship, talk to members of the ship team and find out about the excavation and the campaign to save the ship.

Re-enactments group the Wythe Retinue will be on hand to tell tales of medieval trade and customs. Family activities will include Hunt the Rat, castle making, coracles and costumes, plus stocks and pirates. Guided tours will also be offered by the Friends of the Newport Ship.

Cardiff Castle Garrison have also confirmed their attendance now so we'll have spinning demonstrations, leather working, a mini cannon, a customs officer and much much more!
