Wednesday and Friday activities throughout August at the Visitor Centre - a perfect way to keep yourself occupied and enjoy the country park. All activities are lead by staff from the country Park and the Caerphilly Countryside Ranger Service. Whistle While You Work - Wednesday 3rd Come and have a go at making whistles out of elderwood. Booking required for this event. Time: 11am-3pm. Art Animals - Friday 5th,12th,19th and 26th. Discover which animals live in the park and create an animal through art. Time: 11am-3pm. Kipsie Baskets - Wednesday 10th Learn the ancient art of kipsie basket making with our Rangers. Cost: £3 per basket. Booking required for event. Time: 11am-3pm. Bird Boxes - Wednesday 17th Have a go at Bird Box making and take them home to put up in your garden. Cost: £2.00 per box. Booking required for this event. Time: 11am-3pm. Bug Box Making - Wednesday 24th Have a go at making a home for insects such as ladybirds and lacewings and take them home to put in your garden. Cost: £2 per box. Booking required for this event. Time: 11am-3pm. Bird Feeders - Wednesday 30th Have a go at making a bird feeder and take them home to your garden. Cost: £2 per feeder. Booking is required for this event. Time: 11am-3pm.
