Winding Engine Running

Come and see the original Victorian engine in action! This remarkable machinery was used to operate the cages which transported men and coal between the surface and the mine below, in the former Elliot Colliery. The Winding Engine, runs at 12pm and will last for approximately 10-15 minutes. Search for us on twitter and facebook 'WindingH' for more updates and information.
