Brecon Arts Week reaches its third year, and a treasure chest of exhibitions, events, demonstrations and music all week.

Brecon Arts Week runs from 27th October to 4th November, at venues throughout the town centre. Most events are free, but some, such as the workshops, need to be booked in advance and there is a small fee for participants. Brochures will be available from galleries, shops, cafes and all venues.

If you come across the Menai or “old” bridge onto the island you will pass a sign welcoming you to “Mon Mam Cymru” literally to Anglesey- Mother of Wales. A generation ago Anglesey was that - as a rich farming community her produce could feed the population of Wales as a mother feeds her children. Tire the children out on one of the beaches or visit one of the huge variety of family attractions - farms, fun houses or sport centres.
Enjoy - last but by no means least eat at our local venues and pubs, restaurants and hotels - there is something for everyone.
