Apples, Fields, and Fantastic Views
@ Gadr Farm

Join the Monmouthshire Countryside Service on this 4 mile (6.5 km) walk which is in association with Raglan Local Ways. We will pass a motte and bailey castle and a church which is now home to rare bats. We will be passing apple orchards, which may be in blossom and climbing to enjoy fantastic views towards the Black Mountains.
No steep slopes, but lots of stiles. Assistance dogs only please. Please where stout shoes or boots and bring waterproof clothing. The walk lasts approximately two and a half hours. Meet at Gadr Farm, Llangovan. To reach the farm leave the old road from Monmouth to Raglan at Croft y Cloi (signposted Pen-y-Clawdd 1 Llansoy 6) (approx 4 miles (6.5 km) from Monmouth). Follow the road to pass Pen-y-Clawdd church on your right after 1.25 miles (2 km). Almost immediately take the turning on your left (signposted Llangovan). Follow this road for 330 yards and take a left turn. Follow this road for 0.8 miles (1.3 km) to a junction. Gadr farm is straight ahead (SO 463 068).
